Green Creek Hounds - Tryon, North Carolina

KENNELS: From I 26 take Hwy 14 East for 6.4 miles to Hwy 9 continue on Hwy 14 1.9 miles to kennels on left….Total 8.3 miles.

GRF COXE ROAD: 1) From Hwy. 9/14 intersection take 14 (Sandy Plains Rd.) toward Kennels for 4/10 of a mile….turn Rt. onto Floyd Blackwell Rd. …..go 1.9 miles to Coxe Rd. and take a left…..stay on Coxe for 1 1/2 miles (past Church) to park in big field on right…..2) From Kennels either: ( a) left up Sandy Plains Rd. for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Coxe Rd,,,,,go 1.8 miles and big field will be on your left – or-- ( b) right out of driveway to McDade Rd( 1/2 a mile…1st rd to your left)…go to Floyd Blackwell and turn left….go 1 mile to Coxe and turn left for 1.5miles….parking on right. For those coming down Hwy 74 take Union Road Exit to Coxe/Sandy Plains Rd. and take a right for 2.2 miles to Coxe/Pea Ridge intersection ….go left on Coxe for 1.8 miles…..parking field on left..

THE VINYARD: 1)from kennels go 2.5 mi. up Sandy Plains Rd to Coxe//Pea Ridge..turn right on Coxe for.
9/10 of a mile and turn left between brick pillars just before bridge. Follow dirt road and park in pasture.

E. GREEN CREEK DR.: Follow directions to Coxe Rd. fixture. Turn down Solen Williams, which runs beside
the Coxe Rd. parking field. Go 1.6 miles and turn right onto E. Green Creek Dr. Go about .4 of a mile…..
park in the field on the left.

WHITE OAK CREEK: 10.9 miles from I 26 to John Watson Rd. …..or …from Kennels continue East on Hwy 14 for 3.2 miles to John Watson Rd. on right..... turn right onto John Watson Rd. and go 2.3 miles…..
( past big bridge at back entrance to green River Farm) Parking field is on the LEFT…..just before WHITE OAK CREEK bridge.

THE WATSON HOUSE: Go 3 miles down John Watson Rd. (.it will be 6/10 of a mile from White Oak Creek bridge to parking field on right.. just past the house…..across from Green River Vinyard/Bed/Breakfast)

GREEN RIVER FARM: From kennels continue East on Hwy 14 for 4.6 miles (past John Watson Rd. to Ken Miller Rd….next road on right) turn right. ..go .5 miles. ...park across from entrance in field on left. (12.9 miles from I 26.)

GREEN CREEK 2: From intersection of Hwy14/Hwy 9...go East down hwy 9 toward Spartanburg for 2.9 miles to Old Chesnee Rd. Turn left and go .1 of a mile and turn left onto Green Dreek Dr....then go 1 mile to parking field on the right.

down Hwy 9 for 1 mile to Turner Rd. Turn right and go miles to brown fencing on right. Park in the ring on the right.

SCOTSGROVE: For most folks ..going down Hwy 14 through Landrum is easiest.

From intersection of Hwy 14 & Hwy 11: (at Spinx Station / Junction resturant/ Dimitris resturant )
Go on down Hwy 14 for 1.2 miles.....bear left onto Goodjoin Rd. Stay on this road for 7.4 miles. (It will become Hwy 357 ) There will be one major STOP at Holly Springs Rd. ( HWY 357 REDI-MART on one corner...Holly Springs Fire Dept. on another) At 7.4 miles take a left onto Grand Canyon Rd. There will be a big TWIN OAKS GOLF par 3/ driving range sign on the left. Stay on Grand Canyon Rd. for .3 of a mile. Scotsgrove will be on your right. Turn up drive and someone will tell you where to park.

GARDNER WEBB; Approx. 13 miles from I 26 ( or about 5 miles from Kennels )...up Hwy 14/Sandy Plains Rd. to Union Rd…. left to Hwy. 74 East. Turn Rt onto 74 for about 20 miles to McBrayer-Homestead Rd….Turn right at building .with blue roof..(Carolina Dance Works) ..this becomes Hwy. 150…go 4 miles through Boiling Springs….past Gardner Webb College….When you see BP station on left …..take a right on College Farm Rd. for about 1 ½ Miles….stay left and go beyond the end of the pavement to park along road.

HUGH and ELAINE HOBBS: (864-426-3638) From Spartanburg take #176 to and through Union…….It
merges with a few other routes along the way……On the East side….at a traffic light….#176 turns right and #215
goes straight ……TAKE #215 ( there is an empty car dealership on one side and TRIANGLE VET on the other)……Go 2 miles on #215 and turn right onto Hawkins Rd…….then take first left onto AUSTIN RD.. HOBBS house is first on left with riding ring and barn on left……Park across the street.

POWER LINE: Same as above until you get to #176 / #215 intersection at light ( defunct car dealership on right,…TRIANGLE VET on left) Take a right on #176 and go 2.2 miles. Just past BERRY FARM RD. Turn left
onto POWER LINE…park there.

PETER BERRY’S FARM: Same as above, but from #215 / #176 intersection, take right on #176 for 4.5 miles….(split rail fence on left …..pull into driveway and park in field on the right.

BOB ADAMS ROAD: Same as above. From light at #215/ #176 go right on #176 for 2 miles. Turn left onto Berry Farm Road ….go miles (cross double bridges ) …take next right onto Bob Adams Road and go all the way to the end (very long way) and park on road.

WILLIAM AND JILL JETER”S FARM: Same as above, but from #215 / #176 intersection, take #176 for 12 miles. Watch carefully for “ OLD BUNCOMBE ROAD’ on right. Turn right and go 2.6 miles to an old plantation
house on the left (partially obscured by fence and shrubbery) ….pull in driveway and go around house to the right….parking in field in back.

TYGER RANCH : From Spartanburg, take #176 to Union…….Just as you get into town there is a shopping strip on the right. You will see a “HARDEES” and then a “WESTERN AUTO” .
Just past Western Auto TURN RIGHT at the traffic light onto # 215 (aka Buffalo-West Springs Highway )
Go 6.2 miles and then TURN LEFT on MT. LEBANON ROAD (follow signs to “Sugar Creek Speedway”)
Go 2.1 miles to Tyger Ranch Road and entrance on left. Go through gates and follow driveway to the ranch house on left. Go left up that driveway ...around behind the house and park in the field.

*TYGER RANCH……FROM THE OTHER DIRECTION:
Take I 26 East to Exit #35. (Walnut Grove).
Turn Left…..go 3 mi. to Riddle Rd.
Turn Right…go 1.9 mi to Blackstock
Turn Right…go 4 mi.
MERGE into Hwy 56…go1.3 mi. to Tucker Rd.
Turn Left…...go 1.5 mi. to Mt. Lebanon Rd.
Turn Right….go 1.7 mi. to entrance to Tyger Ranch on Right

Take I 26 ( from Hwy 14 in Landrum it will be 43.4 miles) to exit 44 Cross Anchor/Union. Turn left back across bridge go 7.7 miles (crossing Hwy 56) to Terrapen Road on the left. Take Terrapen Road for 2.3 miles ....Chicken House will be on the right.This road goes from paved to dirt and back to paved and becomes a one lane road. Pull into big open space on the right and park on either side of the driveway. ........but please do not block the driveway/access to the buildings.
